The after party

After the baptism we came back to the house for yummy food and the chocolate fountain, Courtney's request.
Photos courtesy of Amanda, she was smart enough to actually pick up the camera and use it.

Courtney's Baptism

Half of my children are now baptized.  Oh My.  Where is the time going??  It really needs to stop.  NOW.

Had to have a picture with with the cast in it.

I love this one  :)

We are not exactly a serious bunch.

And how did we solve that cast problem?  White trash bag of course!  We had been using blue painters tape on his arm for showers as it comes off the skin easier, but for this he sacrificed the few arm hairs he has and went with the stronger stuff.

No words

SO Frustrated.

Very Very Frustrated

The kids dropped my external hard drive.  It would not read.  The connections seemed bent, so I decided to wait it out and take it in after Christmas. Tried to catch up on blogging, but Blogger would only let me upload one picture at a time.  An upload I was doing to Flickr failed.    Then the Laptop died.   Took them both in.

Both are gone.

10 years of stored pictures.

Everything that is blogged is saved, maybe not at 100%, but saved.

Christmas and my last couple jobs are still on various cards.

Everything else??  GONE.

Pictures, Kevin's grad school essay, templates, actions, Pictures!!

UGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Data recovery is an option we will explore when we have house stuff settled.  The laptop is a maybe, the dropped hard drive??  Most likely toast.  Of course that is the one with the oldest pictures on it.  Stuff that has not been blogged, or uploaded to other places to send prints.

KICKING MYSELF

NEVER in a million years would I have thought that they would both be gone.

I know I have some stuff on assorted disks in assorted places.  If you have one, could you copy it and send it to me? I'll gladly reimburse shipping.

And if you know the name of a great data recovery place that would be awesome.

***As a reminder to everyone.. make a disk today.  Not everything, that seems too overwhelming.  Make a disk, A disk, one week, one month, a bunch of random favorites, something.***

New Years Eve!

I don't know what the kids were up to (other than eating goodies and staying up late with Grandma and Pops) but Kevin and I sure had fun!

Mary blogged all about it here

Nevada Day

We had a 3 day weekend this week in celebration of Nevada Day.
Nevada entered the union on October 31st, 1864 via the longest telegraph ever sent.
And in Elko you know what that means...
Parade!!
We have a parade for everything.

The girls weere so excited this year to be in the parade. Courtney rode with her dance class.

Mallory walked with Girl Scouts.

Kevin picked up some easy overtime.

Lily was introduced to running into the street for candy and loved it.
George was so busy I didn't even get a picture of him!
Last year when I packed up things to move to Elko we had no idea that we would still be living with my parents a year later. All of the coats of varying sizes that we did not need ended up deep in storage, including the two coats that would have fit Lily this year. Grrrr. Thankfully Jana still had this one from George that I had passed along to her two boys and she passed back to me. Problem solved. Technically it is a boys coat, but I think it is super cute!
Sad thing? Yea, George wore this at 6 months old. Boy was a monster.

Happy Halloween!

This year Mallory was Nancy Drew, Courtney was Princess Wildflower, George was a police detective, and Lily wore the traditional kitty costume.

We attended the trunk or treat put on my the 3 youth groups in our building, carved pumpkins and had dinner/trick or treating/scary movie at a friends house.

We have all had too much candy, but cannot wait to do it again!
