Service

We participated in a ward service project recently. It was a lot of fun. We helped some great ladies with their yard work. The kids even got into it and actually were helpful. Even with the chilly weather they had a great time and I was able to snap off a few pictures once most of the work was done. Very few of them are of my kids though so I won't be posting them. I wish I had one of them all together. They all wore red sweatshirts, it was an accident, but made it really handy to keep track of them.

Back Online

Whew! Being offline is hard. Not hard in the hard labor sense. I even did fine without my blogs. Really, I read blogs because I love to read so it was easy to substitute with other material, but no email made me feel a bit cut off, and no Google! Google is my friend, my go-to guy, A+, #1 helper and it was gone. Questions that needed answered couldn't be and no help finding recipes.
The computer is back and the fancy blue light turns on again. I even had a wrestling match with the router and got it to cooperate with me. Pictures are downloading to the computer as I type and I should be able to get a few posts up soon.

The computer is ill

At least the wireless portion of it is any ways. :( So far I have been able to connect to the router using the USB cable, but it is jiggly which makes it hard to stay connected, it takes forever for pages to load. The box has arrived for me to pack up the laptop in and send it back to be repaired. Thankfully it is still under the warranty as it looks as if the motherboard may have to be replaced. The connection between it and the wireless card is damaged. Hopefully I will be able to back everything up correctly to the external hard drive. I always seem to miss something.

I will be checking email and even trying to post occasionaly from the library. Speaking of which before I pack this up I should go to the library site and request some books. What am I going to do without my blog fix? Any great books that should go on that list? Let me know!

I'll have plenty of pictures to upload when I get the computer back I'm sure.

Will

I begged and pleaded and twisted Chuck and Jana's arms until they bent to my pressure and let me take portrait of their darling William. It was really hard.

I'm so glad they let me be their faux photographer. I had a ton of fun. I took 81 shots and came out with 8 that were decent. He didn't cry at all, just grunted cute little baby grunts.

Busy Weekend

We had a super busy weekend this last week. Kevin aerated the lawn, applied lawn food, mowed it, turned on the sprinklers. I helped where I could plus got the roses trimmed and the laundry caught up. Yikes were we ever glad to be done for the day.

Of course with getting the water turned on George decided he needed to wash the car. This was already his second set of clothing for the day.

What was that I said about catching up on the laundry?

Ummm Mom....

I thought we were done with this stuff. You even commented when I boxed up the hats and gloves that you didn't think we would need them any more. This morning we woke up to this.

Homework

Everyone gets in on the action at this house.

"Sandwiches take too long"

George woke up grumpy today, very, very grumpy. It was a terrible, horrible , no good, very bad day in his world.

At lunch he came into the living room where I was nursing Lilly and told me that, "sandwiches take too long." I told him to go back and have a few more bites. Not 5 minutes later Lilly finished and I went into the kitchen to check on him.

This is how I found him.
Those last two bites were just too much.

Confrence Weekend

General Conference is this weekend. We have not sat all the way through every session, but we did watch several as a family. The kids had packets of activities and coloring to work on. Thanks Kristi!

Mallory found another answer on her BINGO game.

Lilly and Kevin snuggled on the couch during one session.

Quick shot

Courtney wanted me to take her picture tonight so that she could take it into her teacher. I snapped off a few shots and sent her to put on her PJs. The full version is just ehh. This cropped one is pretty cute though.
