Father's Day Photo Shoot

For Father's Day this year I wanted to give Kevin a picture of all the kids with their hand prints around it. We did end up with one good one to use for that, but not good ones of each kid individually for the wall. Oh well. they are cute kids no matter what. :)

Rain in the desert

June was a very wet month for us. Several houses on our street had their basement flooded. At the top of the hill in the desert you would think we wouldn't have to worry about this, but with the sheer about of rain we had this month coupled with a VERY rainy night we woke up to about 2 inches of water on the family room floor. Thank goodness for linoleum, and the fact the kids were sleeping at the other end of the room.

Working on the house

Last weekend we were in Boise. While we were there we did a little work on the house. Cleaned and dusted, changed the furnace filter, put new cabinet pulls on in the kitchen.

By we worked on the house I mean me. Kevin had to stay in Elko, George hung out with Grandpa and the big girls entertained Lily. Can you believe that gorgeous floor was under our carpet?!

What do you think of the difference?
New and shiny, hopefully still fit in with the retro feel of the house.

June catch up

We are 1/2 way through June! Holy Mackerel how did that happen? Truth be told, it has been a rainy and wet June thwarting most of our plans. We did make it to the pool one day, I'm glad we went because that was the only day warm enough! Tonight's post is a mishmash of what has been going on.

We have had some other fun. We went to the park a few times and to the library too. Even squeezed in a trip to the mining expo.

First off, getting new molars is HARD work. Lily just does not do this, and she did it twice in 1 day. Poor kid.

George showing his monkey skills at the park.

More monkey skills.
No, he did not do this to the tables, they were that way when we got there.

Crazy Thing?
This is not even a big one.

George did NOT want his picture taken.
