March Update

I'm just going to put the rest of March in one post. :) I think I may have one more card of pictures hanging around, but maybe not. The last two weeks we have been battling all manner of sickness, and that includes me. I have not been so miserable in a long time. :( Then the weather has been less than stellar so we have been spending much more time indoors than I would like. Kevin has taken the kids out on several adventures though so that I could rest and recuperate.

Lily at the park

George and Kevin on their picnic at the reservoir. George tried to hike out to the ice but got stuck in the mud and Kevin had to rescue him.

Our Dear Friend Dick Wills passed away earlier in the month. I think this picture sums up how we felt.

Lily has 2 more teeth bringing her total up to 6. I've seen alot of this lately

She also fell off one chair and hit another on her way down resulting in a quick trip to the ER. Kevin was on his way home when it happened so he scooped her up and took her in. Nothing like a police officer in uniform caring in a bleeding baby took get to taken in quick. We still had to wait quite awhile to get the stiches, but she had a bed ASAP. :) Also a miracle that only those with rural health care may understand. The Dr on rotation in our ER? A Plastic Surgon. The stiches were so tiny. I'll admit I was worried about a facial laceration on a girl, but I think it will heal up great. So thankful though that we were not the room next door with a finger amputation from a rodeo accident. That guy got sent to U of U.

This was actually just before we went in to have them taken out. Please excuse the booger nose, like I said, we have been sick.

Lily also had her 1yr check up finally, it was also the day to have her sutures check so the ped looked them over and we saved ourselves the wait in the ER.
She is 18 lbs 13oz and 30inches long. It amazes me she is even smaller than Mallory was at this age. She is growing well, walking and climbing. She doesn't say much but has started to sign a little. Her favorite is to sign please anytime there is something sweet around. It is possible that she should have been named Irene judging by the size of her sweet tooth.

Quick shot of Mallory one day while we were waiting for Activity Days

  1. Sorry to hear about your friend that passed away. Lily is genious about the placement of her cut--right along the lip line where no one will be able to tell!
