Nat-Soo-Pah/Twin Falls

With Kevin off work due to his surgury we decided to hit the road and do something fun as a family. Of course Kevin had just had surgery so low impact activities were the name of the game. We headed up the road to Nat-Soo-Pah. We had so much fun camping and swimming in the hot springs.

The kids really loved the diving boards. they jumped off over and over and OVER again. I had to be there though to help George swim to the side and by the end of the evening courtney was getting pretty tired and needed and guiding had as well. Kevin's knee couldn't take treading water so it was my job 100% of the time. I was as tired as the kids by the end!

Mallory got brave and did some back flips.

Me going to George to help him to the side.

The next morning.

Yup... still tired. :)

for what ever reason the lighting inside the car that morning was perfect Of course George still had breakfast all over his face but I had to snap a few pictures anyways.

After packing up we headed into Twin Falls. Twin is the home of the Perine Bridge. The bridge was the highest in the nation at the time it was built and spans a masive canyon. there are 2 or 3 glof courses at the bottom. It is popular with BASE jumpers. We were ucky enough that while were were there there were several people getting ready to go.

READY, SET

GO!

We also drove over to Shoshone Falls

This is going to become a yearly tradition for us, especially Nat-Soo-Pah

Catching up....

Summer was crazy busy and fun. Our computer was in the shop 4 times between July 1st and now. I am WAY behind I know. I'm going to try to play catch up in the next few days. Chronological order is NOT going to happen. :(

First Day of School

The one of them all together is way under exposed, I'm going to try to fix it but have not had a chance yet.

I love thier new uniforms! They can wear red, white or navy tops, but they all chose red for the first day. :)

Sweetening the pot.

Now there is a prize for you too!

Head on over to www.wingsofblue.blogspot.com to find out.

A Plea for help.

The past few weeks I have been playing a game called JaG to try to win a slot in a photography workshop with one of my favorite photographers. I didn't win the first round so I'm really trying to go gung ho on the second. There are just 2 spots left up for grabs. They will go to whoever earns the most points. Points are earned by having people click from my blog or fan page over to Scott Jarvie's various sites. The last round I finished 4th so I will start near the top, but there are a lot of people who really want to win this as much as I do. Please help me by checking out his photography and having as many other people do so as well. There are 3 links on each of my 2 sites so each person /computer who clicks them all could help me earn 6 points. I'm not sure yet if each person can be counted more than once each day, I'll let you know when I know.

This is Friday and Saturday ONLY

4th of July at the park

If my post only had one picture this one would be it... Relaxing, family, yummy food.
But, this is me so of course there are more. :)

Kevin had knee surgery on Wednesday so by Saturday he still wasn't up to much, but he hobbled to the food table a few times and did lots of snuggling with the kids.

Grandma had a craft table set up for the kids

WATER FIGHT!!

This year ended up a little cooler than years past, so everybody ended up changing afterwards instead of just drying out. Thankfully we got it going fairly early because we ended up with about 1/2 hour of rain mid afternoon.

4th of July has turned into our unofficial family reunion each year. We had spectacular plans for an official family portrait on Friday evening, we all dressed-up and everything. I actually wore makeup! Unfortunately just as we arrived at the designated location the heavens decided to empty... along with one little boys stomach. :( We did take a snapshot on Saturday.

We are a crazy bunch!

I am not entirely sure these are my children.... Willingly playing with dogs?

The sun is starting to set and the card games are winding up.

Glow sticks make the perfect disraction between sunset and the fireworks.

More to come... Mallory's first paintball game and fireworks.
We'll see how those turned out, I'm not optimistic.
