Egg Hunts

Saturday was sunny. Thank goodness because we had 2 Easter egg hunts. I didn't get any pictures of the first I was too busy having my nails done. Hand massages rock, even if half my nails are chipped 24 hours later.

At the second I didn't get a single picture of Mallory from the front she was so busy running around.

Courtney of course got all decked out for the occasion.

Clyde came along with us too. Chuck and Jana were not sure if he would participate, but he caught on quickly.

Biker Babe

Courtney is riding a bike! She has been reluctant to ride anything without 3 wheels or training wheels, but Sunday she decided she wanted to give it a go. She and daddy practiced in the parking lot across the street. She was off and going in just a few minutes. When she was ready boy was she ready!

Good Hair Day

I was having a good hair day yesterday. Those don't come along often lately with all the pregnancy wackiness to my hair. It has been dry and weirdly frizzy. I brushed out my hair and it was nice and smooth and shiny. Love it!

An hour later Lilly urped in it. Oh well.

A New Cousin

On September 1st we welcomed a new member to the family. My brother and his lovely wife had a baby boy. Clyde is a welcome addition and his cousins fight over who gets to hold him everytime they see him.

Birthdays

Wow! Fall has really caught up with me and I haven't posted at all. Sorry.
Well as you may know Birthdays are HUGE in our house. Well at least huge to the kids. They talk non stop for weeks before and then more after. We have had 2 Birthdays in recent months., both George and Kevin. Add in the birth of my nephew Clyde and Birthdays all around!

We had a pirate theme for George's Birthday.

Kevin's was a little more simple..... shall we just say yummy??

Swimming Lessons

I am exahsted. The last two weeks we have gone to the pool nearly everyday. Something about the water just makes you tired. It was worth it. All three are much more comfortable in the water and Mallory is well on her way to actual swimming. Lessons at the pool closest to us were full so we ended up across town. We will be going back next year. They have an incredible kids pool that is open for mom and tot swim time during lessons. Not only was it more fun than sitting on the concrete, George got to have some fun too.

Grandma's House

This week the kids have been having lots of fun at Grandma's house. They have done art projects, played in the yard, gone on walks and bike rides, helped Grandma at school and spent several afternoons at the pool where George proved he has no fear. Today they are headed out on a hike in the canyon with Grandpa. Kevin and I have missed them but know that they are having so much fun. Mallory called today and asked if they could stay another week. I had to say no, I miss them too much. (ask me again when they have been home for two weeks and the answer may be diffrent.)

Family Portrait

Fianlly... We have finally taken a new family prtrait. For so long one child or another turned into such a total nightmare that I'm pretty sure we haven't had one taken since before Courtney was born. Sad I know. But here it is in all its glory.



Jana has possesion of the negatives and I will be getting them from her this week to have prints made. YEA!!

Kindergarten Graduation

Can you belive it! All grown up and graduated from Kindergarten. She absolutly LOVED this year. Her favirite part? PE of course!

A hero!

The other day as I was walking home with Courtney and George after taking Mallory to school Courtney shouted, "look mom a hero!." I was quizzical until she finished her thought. "Mom that cloud looks like a hero's." One long cirrus cloud was cutting across the sky. I couldn't help but smile and think this is why we walk instead of drive.
